I was fooled again!

And just when I thought I knew what was next, I was fooled again. Bad news? Not a chance! I listened to my heart and followed the flow.

One thing that's become clear to me is that creation and resistance are not good bedfellows. When I try to create something, be it a new career or dinner for my family, it turns out less than stellar when I’m experiencing some sort of resistance, yet forcing myself to take action anyway. Can you relate?
When I force myself to create I don’t feel inspired or energized, and the results usually suffer. Just ask my kids about some of the meals I’ve put together when mommy didn’t feel like cooking!
In the last newsletter I mentioned I would share a process that would help you access your Divine Imagination. I love accessing this space because it releases the logical mind and connects to the place where ideas form in ways that are inspiring and loving, offering just what is needed in the moment. It is the place where we connect with our inner wisdom, higher self and spirit. It is the place of truth.
One of my professional commitments is I personally experience every process I offer my readers and clients. I had not yet tried the process I was going to share, I only read about it. It seemed like a dandy idea at the time, but as I put pen to paper, the words wouldn’t come. Once again, I was called to do something different.
This is what happened.
I became aware of a place that resides in each and every one of us. It is the point of access for our divine wisdom and resides just behind and below our physical heart. It is our sacred heart space.
As I pondered, what does this sweet soul really want for 2014, a flood of information came my way. It was like my heart was casting out a fishing line and pulling in information that was right in front of me.
What came back were not goals like money in the bank or the number on the scale, rather there were opportunities for shifts in consciousness, personal connection and self-love.
It answered the questions:
  • What wants to emerge?
  • Who do I want to be?
  • What steps do I take to get there?

Over a few sittings, I visited various areas of my life. Here's a sample of what came my way:
What wants to emerge? My life is calling to understand money. Oh how I’ve deemed you the enemy, all the while, I can see now, you have been showing up as teacher. I’ve pushed away your lessons of love and understanding as I’ve struggled with all the stories about what I perceived you've meant.  I’ve created such a big story that your presence in my life was attached to my worth and value as person. The bigger I made the story, the more I pushed you away. I am ready to change. I am ready to create a soulful connection and hear your wisdom. I am ready to let go of the stories and come to peace. It’s all so funny that an innocent piece of paper can create such disharmony.
Who do I want to be? I want to be someone who knows my value and worth regardless of the amount of money I have in the bank. I want to be someone who is deeply grateful for what I already have, rather than focusing on what I don’t have.  I want to be someone who is open to receiving money as fair exchange for my work. I want to be someone who loves money, the presence of money in my life and what it can do for me and for those around me. I want to be someone who is generous.
What steps do I take to get there?
First, I have to come to peace. So many times throughout the course of a week, I find myself having some sort of reaction to spending or even the thought of spending money. Whenever this happens I will notice the reaction and forgive myself. I will look for proof that this pattern is changing. Second, I can be conscious of being more generous right now. Third, I can spend some time journaling about money, asking it for continued enlightenment. Finally, I will seek support to help change my subconscious patterns.

I felt as though I had been counseled by Divine source energy.

How is this heart-centred, emergence method to planning related to Starting Strong in 2014? In the experience described above there was no forcing, no external measuring sticks, no criticizing myself or others. I was observing where I was naturally being drawn forward. I was in the flow of what wanted to emerge, and when we are in the flow we have access to strength, support and solutions.
This turns a New Year's Resolution into
a New Year's ReSOULution.
